Job summary

Principal Education is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Epping and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible daily supply, full-time and part-time opportunities with immediate start, and competitive pay dependent on experience.

Ideal candidates are graduates or experienced support staff with DBS clearance and a right to work in the UK. Local placements across Essex and North/East London are available, with ongoing consultant support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Confidence leading a classroom and supervising secondary school pupils.
• A flexible, reliable and proactive approach.
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
• The right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes of secondary school students in the absence of their regular teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students remain on task.
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour and encourage student participation.
• Support students with their learning where appropriate.

Pay: £100 £120 per day, dependent on experience

About the Role

Principal Education is looking for enthusiastic, confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Epping and the surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches, youth workers and individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

We are particularly interested in candidates based in Epping, Waltham Forest Loughton, Chingford, Cheshunt, Waltham Abbey, Enfield and surrounding areas.

Whether you are looking for full-time work, part-time opportunities or flexible supply around other commitments, we can offer placements to suit your availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise classes of secondary school students in the absence of their regular teacher.
