Job summary

Principal Education is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Epping and surrounding areas. This role offers flexible daily supply with immediate start, ideal for graduates, sports coaches, youth workers or anyone who enjoys working with young people.

We welcome applicants who can supervise classes, deliver pre-prepared materials, and maintain a positive learning environment while following safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Flexible, reliable and proactive approach.
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes of secondary school students in the absence of their regular teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students remain on task.
• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour and encourage student participation.
• Support students with their learning where appropriate.
• Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures and lesson instructions.
