Job summary

Connex Education in Burton on Trent is seeking a Cover Supervisor to support on a day-to-day basis and for longer-term placements. The role covers all subject areas and involves maintaining a safe, positive learning environment while classes are supervised.

Start in September. You will complete lesson reviews for returning staff and follow safeguarding and school policies. Pay is up to £650 per week, with rights to work in the UK required.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in education and gaining classroom management exposure.
• Experience covering classes and managing pupils is desirable.
• Willingness to work across different schools within Burton area.

• Are you currently considering a future in the education sector, perhaps as a teacher, and would like to gain some experience?

About the Role

• Support across all subject areas (where possible, aligning with the specialisms and experience of the successful applicants).
• Ensure that pupils are provided with a safe working environment that allows them to learn effectively.
• Complete lesson reviews that provide the returning staff member with information about the classes that have been covered.
• Follow and adhere to the school’s safeguarding and behaviour policies.
