Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Bolton, supporting students from KS3 to KS5. You'll step into the classroom during teacher absences, delivering pre-planned work and helping students stay focused and engaged.

We offer opportunities ranging from day-to-day supply to longer-term placements, with some short-term bookings developing into extended assignments. Pay starts from £110 per day, with a September 2026 start.

Qualifications

• You will confidently manage classroom behaviour and work with secondary students.
• Experience in a UK school (ideally around 6 months) or relevant teaching qualifications.
• Safeguarding training can be provided.

The role

Location: Schools across Bolton

Pay: From £110 per day, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications

Start: September 2026

Hours: Typically 8:30am-3:30pm, although school hours may vary

Contract: Temporary

Availability: Full-time, part-time, half-day and individual lesson opportunities

What we're looking for

You'll need to be confident managing classroom behaviour and comfortable working with secondary-aged students.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Previous experience in a UK school, preferably around 6 months
• Teaching or education-related qualifications, although these aren’t essential
