What Will You Do as a Cover Supervisor?
- Supervise students during lessons when their regular teacher is absent, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain engagement using effective behaviour management strategies.
- Support students in completing work set by the teacher and ensure learning continues smoothly.
- Provide additional support to individuals or small groups where needed.
- Report any concerns or updates regarding student behaviour or progress to school staff.
What We’re Looking For
- Have experience working with secondary school-aged students (as a teaching assistant, cover supervisor, tutor, or similar role).
- Have strong classroom management skills and the confidence to lead a class.
- Are reliable, professional, and flexible when working in different school settings.
- Are approachable and able to build positive relationships with students.
