• Classroom supervision
• Deliver pre-prepared work and instructions provided by teaching staff
• Ensure pupils understand the tasks they have been set
• Monitor progress and engagement throughout lessons
• Maintain an orderly classroom environment
• Deal confidently with low-level behaviour and follow school procedures
• Support learning and encourage pupils to complete work
• Answer questions and provide clarification where possible
• Report significant issues or pupil progress to staff
• Ensure classrooms are left organised for the next lesson

A classroom-based role for an education professional who can take responsibility for learning and behaviour. A secondary school in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire is seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to provide consistent classroom supervision when teaching staff are unavailable.

What you will do

• Classroom supervision
• Deliver pre-prepared work and instructions provided by teaching staff.
• Ensure pupils understand the tasks they have been set.
• Monitor progress and engagement throughout lessons.
• Maintain an orderly and purposeful classroom environment.
• Deal confidently with low-level behaviour and follow school procedures where further intervention is required.
