JOB TITLE: Cover cleaner

LOCATION: SCOT FRIENDLY, Glasgow

SHIFT PATTERN: Monday to Friday

WORKING HOURS: 10 hours per week

PAY RATE: £11.44 per hour

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

ABM is looking for a hardworking and proactive cleaner to join our team in Glasgow. You will be covering a range of premises and providing holiday and sickness cover. Duties will involve cleaning office areas, including hoovering, mopping, desk wiping, kitchen and toilet cleaning, external work such as litter picking and waste removal, as well as cleaning common areas, corridors, and basements. You will be required to work alongside teams on site and occasionally liaise with customers. A good attention to detail and high standards of cleaning are essential. You will be responsible for disinfecting areas as per the planner. Flexibility, good timekeeping, and a strong work ethic are necessary. Work will include morning and evening cleaning, with occasional weekend shifts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Dusting, wiping, and disinfecting desks and all surfaces
2. Scrubbing kitchens and toilets
3. Hoovering and mopping floors
4. Disinfecting all high touch points
5. Detail work, such as skirtings, sills, fixtures, etc.
6. Following group and company policies and procedures
7. Reporting any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment
8. Using all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received
9. Reporting any issues or training needs to your Line manager and/or via your divisional incident reporting system

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Experience in office cleaning and a good grasp of health and safety issues
2. Must be hardworking, have good attendance, work to routine schedules, and be able to proactively find tasks
