Job summary

Northampton District Court is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Facilities team. You will perform routine upkeep across courthouse facilities, assist in skilled trades, and help ensure safe, functional grounds and systems.

The role is union-designated with Friday adoption and a shift from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM; starting pay matches entry-level band with opportunity for within-band advancement per the CBA/MOU.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Two years of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Trade certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists in a variety of skilled trades duties.
• Provides cleaning and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Performs prevention maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Inspects facilities and reports issues to supervisor.
• Operates and assists with building checks and minor repairs.
