Job summary

GI Group Main Account is seeking a Counterbalance / Reach Forklift Driver for a busy coldstore operation in Grimsby. This is a temp-to-perm role with steady hours, a shift allowance, and overtime at enhanced rates.

Wage is £14.23 per hour plus £1.05 per hour shift allowance, with rotating 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 shifts, Monday to Friday. The role requires valid Counterbalance and Reach FLT licences; PPT licence is a bonus but not essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence is essential.
• Valid Reach FLT licence is essential.
• PPT licence is advantageous but not essential.
• Coldstore environment experience or willingness to work in freezer environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance and Reach forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Load/unload goods and move stock around site.
• Put away stock into racking locations.
• Support despatch/goods-in activities as required.
• Complete basic paperwork / scanner work where applicable.
• Maintain housekeeping and comply with site health & safety rules.

Alternating shifts weekly:06:00-14:00

14:00-22:00

The Role

Working within a

-20°C coldstore environment, duties will typically include:

• Operating

Counterbalance and Reach forklifts safely and efficiently

• Loading/unloading goods and moving stock around site
• Putting away stock into racking locations.
• Supporting despatch/goods-in activities as required
• Completing basic paperwork / scanner work (where applicable)
• Maintaining housekeeping and following site health & safety rules at all times

What We're Looking For

Valid Counterbalance AND Reach FLT licences (essential)

PPT licence is an advantage but

not essential

Coldstore experience preferred (or willingness to work in a freezer environment)

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work

rotating shifts

Flexibility for overtime when required

• Strong awareness of health & safety and safe FLT operation

Contract Type
