Job summary

Time Recruitment Solutions Limited is recruiting an experienced Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Driver for a busy cold-store operation in Openshaw, Manchester. You will move, load, unload and store goods in a temperature-controlled environment.

Key duties include operating Counterbalance and Reach FLTs, loading vehicles, stocking racks, picking orders and completing paperwork. You will follow all health and safety procedures and work as part of a team in a cold-store setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Counterbalance FLT licence.
• Must hold Reach FLT licence.
• Warehouse or cold-store experience is desirable.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance and Reach FLTs safely.
• Load and unload vehicles.
• Move pallets and stock around the warehouse and cold-store facilities.
• Put stock away into designated racking locations.
• Pick and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Carry out daily FLT safety checks and report defects.
• Ensure goods are handled safely and accurately.
• Follow all company health & safety procedures and warehouse processes.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Work in a cold-store environment for periods of the shift.

FLT Counterbalance / Reach Driver

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance & Reach Forklift Truck Driver to join a busy cold-store operation in Openshaw, Manchester.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, loading, unloading and storage of goods within a temperature-controlled warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Counterbalance and Reach FLTs.
• Load and unload vehicles.
• Move pallets and stock safely around the warehouse and cold-store facilities.
• Put stock away into designated racking locations.
• Pick and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Carry out daily FLT safety checks and report any defects.
• Ensure goods are handled safely and accurately.
• Follow all company health & safety procedures and warehouse processes.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Work effectively as part of a team to meet operational targets.
• Complete warehouse paperwork and documentation where required.
• Work in a cold/temperature-controlled environment for periods of the shift.

Requirements

• Must hold valid and in-date Counterbalance and Reach FLT licences/certificates.
• Previous experience operating both Counterbalance and Reach FLTs.
• Previous warehouse or cold-store experience is desirable.
• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a cold-store environment.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 16:00pm

Candidates must be available to work the stated hours on a full-time basis.

Working Conditions

• Cold-store / chilled warehouse environment.
• Manual handling may be required.
• PPE and suitable cold-store clothing will be provided where applicable.
• The role involves prolonged periods of standing, FLT operation and working in low temperatures.
