Stafffinders are recruiting an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver for a temporary role in a busy warehouse. If you hold a valid counterbalance forklift licence and have warehouse distribution experience, this is a great opportunity to start immediately.

Role includes day shifts from Monday to Thursday 8am–4pm and Friday 8am–3pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. 36.5 hours per week, 25 days holiday including Christmas shutdown.

Competenze

Mansioni

• Operate counterbalance forklift to load/unload deliveries and move stock between goods-in, storage and dispatch areas.
• Check deliveries, stock, and paperwork; pick and prepare orders for next-day delivery.
• Conduct daily forklift safety checks, report faults, and maintain a clean, safe working environment.

Counterbalance Forklift Driver looking for an immediate start, steady day shifts and an early finish every Friday?

We’re recruiting an experienced Forklift Driver to join our client’s busy warehouse team on a temporary basis. If you have a valid counterbalance forklift licence and experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment, this is a great opportunity to get started straight away.

What you will get in your new role

• Pay £15.50 per hour
• 36.5 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday 8am–4pm, and Friday 8am–3pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break).
• Day Shifts Only.Enjoy your evenings and weekends with no night shifts or weekend work required.
• Early Friday Finish.Wrap up your working week at 3pm every Friday.
• 25 days holiday, including the Christmas shutdown period.

Responsibilities in your new role as a Counterbalance Forkift Driver

As a Forklift Driver, you will play an important role in keeping warehouse operations running smoothly, safely loading and unloading delivery vehicles and containers using a counterbalance forklift. You will be responsible for moving stock between goods-in, storage and dispatch areas, ensuring deliveries are checked, stock is stored correctly and orders are picked and prepared accurately for next-day delivery.

Your duties will also include manually handling hardware products, checking incoming goods against delivery paperwork and reporting any shortages or damage. You will carry out daily forklift safety checks, report any equipment faults and maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment. You will also follow all health and safety procedures and support the wider warehouse team with general duties as required.

Your personality, experience and qualifications

You must hold a valid counterbalance forklift licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent) and have previous experience operating a forklift within a busy warehouse or distribution environment. You should have good English communication skills, strong attention to detail when checking stock and paperwork, and be comfortable with regular manual handling.

We're looking for someone who is reliable, punctual and safety-conscious, with a positive attitude and a willingness to support the wider warehouse team. You should be confident working independently, as well as alongside colleagues, to ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
