Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting a Counterbalance Forklift Driver for a busy site in Crawley. You will operate a counterbalance forklift, load/unload deliveries and move stock to correct locations within the warehouse.

Applicants must have a valid in-date counterbalance forklift licence and experience in a warehouse environment. Reliability, safety awareness and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid in-date counterbalance forklift licence or recognised training.
• Experience operating a counterbalance forklift in warehouse or logistics preferred.
• Good health and safety awareness when operating forklift trucks.
• Ability to load, unload and move goods safely and accurately.
• Reliable and punctual, able to work as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail when handling and positioning stock.
• Follow instructions and work efficiently in a busy warehouse.
• Willingness to assist with general warehouse duties when required.

Responsibilities

• Operating a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
• Loading and unloading deliveries from vehicles.
• Moving and transporting stock, pallets and materials to correct locations.
• Loading and preparing goods for dispatch.
• Assisting with movement and organisation of stock throughout the warehouse.
• Ensuring goods are handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Carrying out routine forklift safety checks before operating the vehicle.
• Reporting any damage, faults or safety concerns to supervisor.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised warehouse environment.
• Following all Health and Safety procedures and site regulations at all times.

The Best Connection are proudly recruiting for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our busy client in Crawley, operating within the Warehousing and Logistics industry.

Location: Crawley

Industry: Warehousing and Logistics

Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:00

Pay: £14.67 an hour

Key Responsibilities of the Counterbalance Forklift Driver:

• Operating a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently within the warehouse
• Loading and unloading deliveries from vehicles
• Moving and transporting stock, pallets and materials to the correct warehouse locations
• Loading and preparing goods for dispatch
• Assisting with the movement and organisation of stock throughout the warehouse
• Ensuring goods are handled carefully to prevent damage
• Carrying out routine forklift safety checks before operating the vehicle
• Reporting any damage, faults or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised warehouse environment
• Following all Health and Safety procedures and site regulations at all times

Requirements of the Counterbalance Forklift Driver:

• A valid and in-date counterbalance forklift licence or recognised training certificate
• Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred
• Good awareness of Health and Safety procedures when operating forklift trucks
• Ability to load, unload and move goods safely and accurately
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team\
• Good attention to detail when handling and positioning stock
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a busy warehouse environment
• Willingness to assist with general warehouse duties when required
