Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited is recruiting a Counterbalance Forklift Driver for a busy warehouse in Crawley. You will operate a counterbalance forklift, load/unload deliveries, move stock to designated locations and assist with dispatch preparations.

A valid licence and strong safety awareness are essential. You will work Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:00, in a fast-paced warehousing environment, ensuring accuracy and safe handling of all goods.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse or logistics setting.
• Valid in-date forklift licence or recognised training certificate.
• Good awareness of health and safety procedures when operating forklift trucks.
• Ability to load, unload and move goods safely and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
• Load and unload deliveries from vehicles.
• Move and transport stock, pallets and materials to correct locations.
• Load and prepare goods for dispatch.
• Assist with movement and organisation of stock throughout the warehouse.
• Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Carry out routine forklift safety checks before operating the vehicle.
• Report any damage, faults or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised warehouse environment.
• Follow all Health and Safety procedures and site regulations.

Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our busy client in Crawley, operating within the Warehousing and Logistics industry.

Industry: Warehousing and Logistics

Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:00

Pay:

Key Responsibilities of the Counterbalance Forklift Driver:

• Operating a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently within the warehouse
• Loading and unloading deliveries from vehicles
• Moving and transporting stock, pallets and materials to the correct warehouse locations
• Loading and preparing goods for dispatch
• Assisting with the movement and organisation of stock throughout the warehouse
• Ensuring goods are handled carefully to prevent damage
• Carrying out routine forklift safety checks before operating the vehicle
• Reporting any damage, faults or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised warehouse environment
• Following all Health and Safety procedures and site regulations at all times

Requirements of the Counterbalance Forklift Driver:

• A valid and in-date counterbalance forklift licence or recognised training certificate
• Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred
• Good awareness of Health and Safety procedures when operating forklift trucks
• Ability to load, unload and move goods safely and accurately
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Good attention to detail when handling and positioning stock
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a busy warehouse environment
• Willingness to assist with general warehouse duties when required
