Job summary

The Best Connection in Crawley is currently recruiting for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver to operate within a busy warehouse and logistics environment. You will handle loading/unloading, move stock to correct locations, and ensure goods are dispatched safely.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:00, with pay of £14.67 per hour. The role requires a valid forklift licence and prior warehouse experience, plus a proactive approach to health and safety.

Qualifications

• Valid and in-date counterbalance forklift licence or recognised training certificate.
• Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Good awareness of Health and Safety procedures when operating forklift trucks.
• Ability to load, unload and move goods safely and accurately.
• Reliable and punctual with ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to assist with general warehouse duties when required.

Responsibilities

• Operating a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
• Loading and unloading deliveries from vehicles.
• Moving and transporting stock, pallets and materials to the correct warehouse locations.
• Loading and preparing goods for dispatch.
• Assisting with the movement and organisation of stock throughout the warehouse.
• Ensuring goods are handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Carrying out routine forklift safety checks before operating the vehicle.
• Reporting any damage, faults or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised warehouse environment.
• Following all Health and Safety procedures and site regulations at all times.
