Job summary

Kinetic plc in Birtley is seeking a day shift counterbalance forklift driver to join a well-established business on a temporary to permanent basis. You must hold a valid counterbalance forklift licence, with in-date certification, to be considered.

The role runs Monday to Thursday 07:00–16:00 and Friday 07:00–13:00, based in Birtley. Duties include picking goods with a forklift, receiving deliveries, updating stock systems, and ensuring accurate records and timely distribution to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Pick goods using a counterbalance forklift.
• Receive deliveries and check goods received.
• Liaise with suppliers about deliveries and stock discrepancies.
• Keep detailed records of shortages and spares.
• Update inventory management systems regularly.
• Organise and deliver goods from store to required section.
• Deliver finished goods to customer sites.
• Maintain basic IT skills and use word processing software.
• Exhibit excellent organisational skills and work methodically.

About the role

My client is currently looking a day shift counterbalance forklift driver to join an established business on a temporary to permanent basis, based in Birtley. You must have an in date inhouse or external counterbalance forklift licence to be considered for this position.

Monday to Thursday 07:00 until 16:00 Friday 07:00 until 13:00

£13.18 per hour

25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Location: Birtley, England, North East

Responsibilities

• Picking goods by using a counterbalance forklift


• Receiving all deliveries and checking the goods received


• Liaising with suppliers about deliveries and discrepancies in stock


• Keeping detailed records of shortages and spares of items


• Updating inventory management systems regularly
  
• Organising and delivering goods from the store to the section that requires it


• Deliver finished goods to customer sites


• Basic IT skills and a working knowledge of inventory management systems and word processing software


• Excellent organisational skills


• Ability to work methodically and quickly
