Job summary

JDR Recruitment is seeking Counterbalance FLT Drivers for a large distribution site in North Ferriby, HU14. This ongoing role offers day and night shifts with competitive hourly rates and potential progression to permanent employment.

Responsibilities include operating a counterbalance forklift safely, loading/unloading, moving stock, and maintaining accurate paperwork using handheld scanners. DBS check is required, and equal opportunity employer status applies.

Qualifications

• FLT experience required; in-house licences accepted.
• Warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

JDR Recruitment are recruiting for Counterbalance FLT Drivers for a large distribution site based in North Ferriby, HU14

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload vehicles, trailers, and containers.
• Transport pallets, cages, and stock throughout the warehouse.
• Put away goods into designated storage locations.
• Replenish picking locations as required.
• Conduct pre-use equipment checks and report defects.
• Accurately complete warehouse paperwork and scan stock using handheld devices.
• Support goods-in, goods-out, and inventory operations.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and site rules.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards within work areas.

Skills and Experience

• Previous FLT experience (inhouse licences will be accepted)
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic IT and scanner usage skills.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

• Comply with Amazon and contractor safety procedures.
• Wear required PPE at all times.
• Carry out daily forklift safety inspections.
• Report accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.
• Follow safe loading, unloading, and traffic management procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work standing for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting and handling of goods where required.
• Working in a large warehouse environment.

We have the following shift patterns available:

7am-7pm 4 on 4 off Days - £13.90 per hour

7pm-7am 4 on 4 off Nights - £14.50 per hour

Candidates must be able to pass a DBS check
