Job summary

GI Group is recruiting Counterbalance FLT Drivers for a busy meat processing facility in Derby, Derbyshire. The role splits time between FLT driving, warehouse, production, and packing duties within a fast-paced food environment.

Job description

£13.41 per hour | Day & Night Shifts Available | Immediate Starts

Shift Patterns:

Day Shift

Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm

• Primarily based within the production area
• Supporting production and packing duties alongside FLT work

Night Shift

5 days out of 7 rota, 7:00pm - 4:00am

• Primarily based within the warehouse
• Focusing on stock movement, loading, unloading, and warehouse operations

Pay Rates:

£13.31 per hour

£8.00 per completed shift on top of the hourly rate

Counterbalance FLT Drivers to join a busy

This is a varied role where you will split your time between

FLT driving, warehouse duties, production work, and packing activities. We are looking for reliable and hard-working individuals who are comfortable working in a fast-paced food production environment.

Duties Include:

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Moving stock and materials throughout the warehouse and production areas
• Packing products ready for dispatch
• Supporting production operations when required
• General warehouse duties and stock movement
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety

Requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence with recent experience
• Previous warehouse, production or manufacturing experience preferred
• Comfortable working within a meat processing environment
• Flexible approach to duties
• Good attention to detail and ability to work to food safety standards
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
