Job summary

Gi Group in Northampton is seeking a Forklift Driver to operate Bendi/Flexi and Counterbalance trucks within a busy warehouse. You will move, load, unload, and store goods, ensuring stock accuracy and adherence to site safety standards.

The role requires a valid forklift licence, comfort with height and narrow aisles, and the ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Onsite assessment and health and safety induction are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Bendi/Counterbalance forklift national licence.
• Confident working at height and in narrow aisles/racking.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate stock handling.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Bendi/Flexi / CB truck to move stock safely within the warehouse, including narrow aisles and racking areas.
• Load and unload deliveries/collections, ensuring loads are stable and transported securely.
• Put away stock into racking locations and complete replenishment tasks to support picking operations.
• Support Goods In/Goods Out activities: checking quantities, reporting discrepancies/damages, following site processes.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures, including PPE, speed limits, pedestrian segregation, and safe stacking guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse operatives, team leaders, and transport teams to meet KPI and dispatch targets.

Bendi (Flexi) & Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Location: Northampton, Brackmils industrial estate. NN4 7DT.

Department: Warehouse / Distribution

Hours/Shifts: Monday - Friday (Apply online only)

Pay Rate: £14.40 per hour

Overtime: £21.60 per hour Saturday and Sunday

Role Purpose

To operate a Bendi (Flexi) & Counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently to move, load, unload, and store goods within the warehouse, ensuring stock is handled accurately and in line with site health & safety and quality standards.

Onsite FLT assessment required prior to start and health and safety induction.

Key Responsibilities
