Job summary

Benefit Cosmetics is seeking a Part-time Counter Manager for our Boots Sheffield counter. The role focuses on leading Brow and Beauty Experts, driving sales, and delivering exceptional customer experiences during a maternity cover period.

The position requires flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, to ensure targets are met. You will manage service provision, plan events, handle stock, and coordinate with store and area managers while maintaining brand standards and training new

Qualifications

• Dynamic, enthusiastic and sales-driven.
• Passion for makeup and Retail with a focus on achieving sales targets.
• Minimum 6 months of management experience; 4 years of customer service in retail or hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate Brow and Beauty Experts to hit and exceed sales goals and maintain high service standards.
• Provide waxing, tinting, and tweezing services to enhance customer satisfaction and repeat visits.
• Personally connect with customers, demonstrate products, and achieve individual sales targets contributing to counter goals.
• Conduct daily team meetings, promote open communication, and recognise achievements to stay focused on targets.
• Develop in-store and external events to boost sales and brand awareness through collaborations and product launches.
• Ensure counter is fully stocked, monitor inventory, and report concerns to minimise lost sales opportunities.
• Act as a key communicator between store/department managers and area managers to ensure smooth information flow.
• Oversee daily, weekly, monthly, and annual administrative tasks and staff rotas to support sales goals.
• Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards for counter and displays to present a professional shop environment.

Benefit is Glowing... We Mean Growing... and we are currently searching for a Part-time, 22.5 hour, Maternity Cover Counter Manager to make real connections in Boots Sheffield . As a Counter Manager, you'll be instrumental in achieving sales targets and creating exceptional customer experiences

Responsibilities

• Sales Management: Lead and motivate Brow and Beauty Experts to hit and exceed sales goals, ensuring high service standards. Delegate effectively and inspire the team to maximize performance.
• Brow Services: Provide waxing, tinting, and tweezing services to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction, leading to repeat appointments and increased service customers.
• Target-Driven Sales: Personally connect with customers through traffic stopping, demonstrate products with passion, and consistently achieve your individual sales targets and contribute to the overall counter goals.
• Teamwork and Motivation: Conduct engaging daily team meetings, promote open communication, and recognize achievements to keep the team focused on crushing individual and counter targets.
• Business Growth: Develop innovative in-store and external events through strategic linkups, collaborations, product launches, and impactful charity initiatives to boost sales and brand awareness.
• Stock Optimisation: Ensure the counter is always fully stocked, monitor inventory levels closely, and immediately report concerns to the Area Manager to minimise lost sales opportunities.
• Communication Leadership: Act as a key communicator between store/department managers and area managers, ensuring important information flows smoothly and the counter team is always informed.
• Efficient Administration: Oversee daily, weekly, monthly, and annual administrative tasks, supporting the Area Manager and ensuring smooth store operations.
• Staff Scheduling Excellence: Create fair and effective monthly staff rotas that optimize coverage to support sales goals.
• Brand Presentation: Maintain exceptional hygiene and housekeeping standards for the counter and displays, ensuring a visually appealing and professional shopping environment at all times.

• Result-oriented, who likes a challenge and exceeding sales expectations
• Desire to provide a unique customer experience that drives customer loyalty and repeat business
• Flexible availability including weekends, late nights, Bank holidays and holiday periods.
• A minimum of 4 years of prior customer service experience in a retail or hospitality environment is required for this role with a passion for sales success
• Minimum 6 months of management experience
