Job summary

Devon Partnership Trust in Tiverton, Exeter and surrounding towns is seeking a qualified counsellor to deliver Counselling for Depression through the TALKWORKS team. You will qualify with a Diploma in Counselling and register with a statutory body, with potential promotion to Band 7 after completing PCE-CfD training.

The role involves two-thirds time in community locations and remote work from home, with some evenings required.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop therapeutic relationships and demonstrate unconditional positive regard.
• Strong verbal and written communication with service users and professionals.
• Assess depression and risk; tailor Counselling for Depression protocol.
• Caseload management and attendance at supervision and meetings.
• Five-day PCE-CfD training and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Counselling for Depression therapy to clients with depression.
• Assess clients, conduct risk assessments and maintain case notes.
• Attend supervision and team meetings and contribute ideas.
