Job summary

Fareham Borough Council is seeking a Revenues Officer to join the Revenues Team. The role involves administration, collection and recovery of Council Tax and Non-Domestic Rates, with daily contact with customers to advise entitlements and maintain up-to-date payments.

You will work in a busy team, handling inquiries by phone, letter and email, and must meet targets with accuracy and ICT competence. Full training will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration, customer service and IT is encouraged.
• Full training in Council Tax and Non-Domestic Rates will be provided if you have strong admin and IT experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer, collect and recover Council Tax and Non-Domestic Rates.
• Handle customer enquiries in person, by phone, letter and email.
• Advise on entitlements, process changes in circumstances and support timely payments.
• Keep up to date with ongoing legislative changes affecting rates and discounts.
