Job summary

Saint Elizabeth Community in Rhode Island is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide in-home therapeutic care under a supervising therapist. You’ll document patient progress and communicate changes to the clinical team, ensuring compassionate, quality care in a home setting.

Ideal candidates are licensed OTAs in Rhode Island with at least one year of experience; home care experience is preferred and CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an occupational therapy assistant in Rhode Island.
• Possesses a minimum of one-year occupational therapy experience. Home care experience preferred.
• CPR certification.
• Reliable transportation, current clean driver’s license, automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide for the patient’s occupational therapy needs under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
• Report changes in the patient’s condition to the occupational therapist and/or the patient’s case manager.
• Teach and instruct patients regarding active and passive exercises.
• Document all patient care on appropriate forms within agency established time parameters.
• Submits completed documentation to the Clinical Director within established time parameters.
• Demonstrate a high degree of commitment to customer service and the provision of quality care.
