A prominent law firm seeks a Costs Lawyer/Draftsperson to join their costs team in London. The role involves providing expert costs advice, streamlining processes, and collaborating effectively with various teams to drive positive outcomes. Candidates with a minimum of 4 years PQE are encouraged to apply, although newly qualified candidates may also be considered, fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
Penningtons Manches Cooper is a leading UK and international law firm providing high-quality legal advice tailored to both businesses and individuals. We address each client's specific objectives through our expertise and offer a personal service founded on a strong team ethic.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Costs Lawyer/Draftsperson to join our friendly and dynamic costs team. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of both inter-party costs and solicitor/client costs work. They should work well in a team environment and ideally demonstrate the ability to streamline processes, monitor outcomes and performance, and advise and guide a fee-earning team on costs issues. While it is preferable if the candidate is already a qualified Costs Lawyer, this is not essential, with at least 4 years PQE.
The appointed Costs Lawyer/Draftsperson should demonstrate a genuinely commercial approach, focused on obtaining the best possible results for the team and business. They must be confident in dealing with external providers and ensuring a suitable level of service is maintained.
At our firm, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are priorities. We actively seek to attract a diverse workforce and welcome applications from all backgrounds. We are committed to fostering an inclusive culture where everyone can be their full selves and be heard. Learn more about our initiatives and Pennclusion committees here.
