Job summary

SAGA Truck & Van is seeking a Coster within the service team to ensure accurate billing for retail and warranty work, coordinating with the workshop, parts and service departments. You will be responsible for invoice processing, purchase orders and quality assurance to keep processes accurate and timely.

This full-time role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to monitor WIP and vehicle health data.

Job requirements

The Coster is responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient billing within the service team. This role works closely with the workshop, parts, and service departments to maintain accurate, timely and consistent processes.

Invoice Processing: Accurately prepare and issue invoices for both retail and warranty work, ensuring all documentation meets company and manufacturer standards.

Obtain and follow up on purchase order numbers, and resolve invoice-related queries to ensure smooth payment processing.

Quality Assurance: Review and verify all job cards to ensure compliance with internal policies, manufacturer guidelines, and legal requirements. Time Management Oversight: Monitor labour times against allocated hours, taking proactive steps to prevent overruns and ensure operational efficiency.

Query Resolution: Investigate and resolve invoice queries promptly, maintaining strong communication with customers and internal teams.

Quotations: Prepare accurate and competitive quotes for additional repair work, securing customer approval before commencement.

Vehicle Health Check Monitoring: Track and analyse Vehicle Health Check (VHC) recommendations and sales to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Work in Progress (WIP) Management: Monitor all active jobs from creation to closure, ensuring timely completion and accurate system updates.

Our Costers work Monday - Friday 40-hours per week.

Salary Banding is £28080 - £32240 depending on experience.

This role could be based at either our Tonbridge or Dartford depot and travel between the two sites will be required from time to time.
