Job Description

We are recruiting Cost Managers to join our London-based Communities and Local Government Cost Management Team, supporting high-profile and iconic projects across the sector. We offer full and part-time roles, with flexible working options.

The team handles a variety of projects for notable public sector organizations, including refurbishment of listed buildings, office fit-outs, high-volume residential projects, and master planning within cost management and cost assurance.

Typical duties include:
  • Commercial delivery across diverse projects
  • Building professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Cost management of contracts aligned with project goals and policies
  • Accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting
  • Managing cost variance, contract cash flow, and timely applications
  • Collaborating to deliver project KPIs, including program performance, cost control, and value engineering
  • Managing contract changes effectively within governance and best practices
  • Improving forecast and budget accuracy
  • Providing commercial support and knowledge to stakeholders
  • Negotiating and finalizing project accounts
Qualifications
  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality cost management or quantity surveying services
  • Degree or HNC qualification
  • Professional qualification (e.g., MRICS) or working towards it is preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects successfully
