Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Edinburgh is seeking a Cost Manager to guide clients and their professional teams on iconic projects across Scotland.

You will work with conservators, architects and engineers to deliver best value for money, applying cost planning, procurement and post-contract cost management.

The role requires a background in cost management or PQS, with RICS or equivalent qualification and a collaborative, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering high-quality cost management/quantity surveying services across full project lifecycle.
• Degree or HNC level qualification.
• Professionally qualified (RICS or similar).

Responsibilities

• Assist on feasibility studies and procurement reports.
• Estimate and cost plan, including presenting final cost plan.
• Tendering and procurement management, including pre-qualification stage.
• Manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
• Carry out cost checks and valuations on large projects.
• Produce monthly post-contract cost reports for client review.
• Input into value engineering initiatives.
• Negotiate and settle final accounts with clients and contractors.
• Interface with client and other consultants at all project stages.
