Job summary

Turner & Townsend is recruiting a Cost Manager for the Real Estate team to work on iconic projects in the Birmingham area, with potential travel across the Midlands. You will collaborate with conservators, architects and engineers to deliver best value for money from a qualitative and commercial perspective.

We seek individuals with a strong cost management or PQS background and an outgoing, collaborative approach to guide contractors and clients through the process on multiple Birmingham

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering cost management across full lifecycle.
• Experience in Quantity Surveying for large projects.
• Excellent analytical and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Assist on feasibility studies and write procurement reports.
• Estimate and cost plan, present final cost plan.
• Tendering and procurement including pre-qualification.
• Manage post‑contract cost variances and change control.
• Carry out cost checks and valuations on larger projects.
• Produce monthly post‑contract cost reports for client.
• Input into value engineering.
• Negotiate and agree final accounts.
• Interface with client and other consultants at all stages.
