Cost Manager/Project Quantity Surveyor - Construction

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cost Manager to join our Newcastle Real Estate team, guiding our clients and their professional teams on iconic projects across the Northeast.

You’ll need a strong interest in construction, with knowledge from a Main Contracting or PQS background, and an outgoing, collaborative approach. You will work closely with conservators, architects, and engineers to ensure value for money and optimal solutions from a qualitative and commercial perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assisting with feasibility studies and procurement reports
2. Estimating and cost planning, including producing and presenting final cost plans
3. Managing tendering and procurement processes, including pre-qualification stages
4. Handling post-contract cost variances and change control
5. Conducting cost checks and valuations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
6. Producing and presenting monthly post-contract cost reports
7. Negotiating and finalizing accounts
8. Interfacing with clients and consultants throughout project stages

Experience and Skills:

• Proven track record in delivering high-quality cost management and quantity surveying services across project lifecycles
• Professional qualification (RICS or similar) preferred
• Degree or HNC qualification
