Fuse Energy, LLC is seeking a Cost Management Analyst to own cost lines linked to the P&L, reconcile invoices against contracts, and build real-time trackers that reveal cost drivers. You will defend numbers, identify savings, and support supplier negotiations in a fast-paced energy startup.

The role emphasizes first-principles thinking, analytical rigor, and hands-on optimization of procurement and operational spend across the business.

Qualifications

• Very strong first-principles thinking; understand cost drivers before reducing them.
• Proficient in financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills for cost tracking and reporting.
• Analytical, structured, proactive in identifying discrepancies and savings.

Responsibilities

• Own cost lines with direct impact to P&L; ensure margins reflect cost control.
• Reconcile invoices with contracts; flag discrepancies before write-offs.
• Build trackers for real-time visibility into cost drivers; surface issues quickly.
• Validate energy invoices and third-party fees against internal accruals and variances.
• Dig into cost lines, contracts, and vendor relations to find savings and justify findings.
• Assist negotiations with suppliers by providing cost and usage data behind requests.
• Automate repetitive cost-tracking and reconciliation tasks to free up judgment work.
