Job summary

Fuse Energy in the United Kingdom is seeking a Cost Management Analyst to own cost control across the business, from supplier invoices to settlement charges and contracts. You will build real-time trackers, validate charges, and drive savings through data-driven analysis within a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.

In this role you will partner with procurement and finance to surface savings opportunities, defend numbers, and influence spending decisions.

Qualifications

• Very strong first-principles thinking.
• Able to thrive in a fast, ambiguous, high-intensity environment.
• Analytical, structured and proactive, seeks discrepancies.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Genuine interest in cost control, procurement or operational finance.
• Bonus: banking/consulting/accounting or startup finance experience; coding skills (Python/SQL).

Responsibilities

• Own cost lines with direct line to the P&L and margin impact.
• Reconcile invoices against contracts and terms; catch discrepancies.
• Build trackers for real-time visibility into cost drivers.
• Validate settlement and regulatory charges against internal accruals.
• Investigate cost lines and vendor relationships to find savings.
• Support negotiations with suppliers by providing cost and usage data.
• Automate repetitive cost tracking and reconciliation tasks.
