Support commercial control on one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure programmes.

We’re seeking a Cost Engineer to join the project controls team on a nationally significant transport and infrastructure scheme. This role offers the opportunity to work in a structured, high-performing consultancy environment — with direct involvement in cost management, performance reporting, and supporting commercial decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

Maintain accurate cost performance data and monthly reporting in line with programme requirements
Support cost forecasting, accruals, and earned value analysis
Assist in change control, including assessment of cost impacts and coordination with commercial teams
Prepare data and reports for client dashboards, senior management, and project reviews
Work closely with planning, risk, and commercial colleagues to ensure full cost integration
Ensure data integrity, audit trails, and compliance with governance processes

What You Bring

Experience working as a Cost Engineer or Cost Analyst on major infrastructure or engineering projects
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with cost management systems (e.g. Prism, EcoSys, SAP, CEMAR)
Knowledge of earned value, cost forecasting, and change control processes
Understanding of NEC contracts is beneficial and project lifecycle cost flows
High attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets and reporting packs
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
