Job summary

Currie & Brown UK LIMITED in Glasgow is seeking an associate cost consultant to join our expanding team. You will support project leaders, deliver cost advice, and help manage financial controls across a portfolio of high-profile projects.

The role requires MRICS eligibility or qualification, strong CostX skills, and experience in private commercial sectors. You will engage with clients and contribute to knowledge sharing across projects within a leading international practice.

Qualifications

• BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent.
• MRICS membership.
• Experience in private commercial sector - offices, residential, hospitality, major projects, fit out and refurb.
• Proficient CostX or other Cost Planning software.
• Sustainability and Data Skills (carbon assessment and Power BI).
• Contract administration skills.
• Pre and post-contract experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to clients.
• Delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments.
• Leading in setting objectives and priorities as a proactive team player.
• Maintaining effective communication to ensure information is available for project completion.
• Undertaking commercial management services with limited supervision.
• Delivering all outputs in an accurate and timely manner.
• Providing support to the team leader in cost management of projects.
• Representing the company professionally; meeting and negotiating with clients to build strong relationships.
