What we are looking for:
We are seeking a professional and experienced Cost Accountant to join our growing Finance team. As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the cost accounting system, determining the cost of production, and conducting profitability analysis.
Key responsibilities of a Cost Accountant include:
- Maintain an up-to-date and accurate cost model, reflecting changes in manufacturing costs promptly.
- Upload cost changes to the customer pricing portal in a timely manner.
- Serve as the key contact for the NPD process, providing costings and analyzing cost-saving opportunities during development.
- Analyze standard costs versus actual costs, including reporting factors affecting pricing and profitability.
- Conduct manufacturing cost audits to ensure all aspects of the cost model are accurately captured.
- Assist in external audits and customer reviews.
- Provide support to the Finance Team as required.
- Engage with S&OP and forecasting processes, analyzing the impact of changes to production plans.
- Lead post-launch reviews and meetings to capture learnings for future projects and address urgent issues across the business, maintaining relevant documentation and presentations.
Required experience and expertise:
- Qualified, Part Qualified, or QBE Accountant.
- Experience with standard costing models and cost systems.
- Previous experience in an FMCG role.
- Strong Excel skills.
