Job summary

Opticore IT is seeking a Palo Alto Cortex Engineer to lead Cortex XSIAM deployments for enterprise clients across EMEA. The role blends remote work with occasional site visits, and requires fluent Spanish and English.

You will act as SME for Cortex XSIAM, drive deployment lifecycles from discovery to operationalisation, and collaborate with customer security teams to align with SOC objectives while migrating from legacy platforms. The contract spans 12 months with scope to extend.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in customer-facing cybersecurity roles.
• 3+ years hands-on experience deploying Cortex XSIAM in enterprise environments.
• Strong practical experience with SIEM technologies, including architecture, data onboarding and use-case development.
• Strong understanding of SOC operations, security operations workflows and incident response.
• Proven experience leading technical engagements with enterprise customers.
• Experience translating business and security requirements into technical solutions.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical implementation and deployment of Palo Alto Networks Cortex XSIAM across enterprise customer environments.
• Act as the senior technical point of contact for customers throughout the deployment lifecycle.
• Work with customer security and infrastructure teams to understand existing SOC, SIEM, EDR, SOAR and threat intelligence capabilities.
• Design and implement XSIAM solutions aligned to customer security requirements and operational objectives.
• Lead migration from legacy SIEM and security platforms into Cortex XSIAM.
• Configure and onboard data sources, endpoints, applications, network infrastructure and security technologies into XSIAM.
• Develop and implement integrations with third-party security and IT platforms.
• Configure detection, analytics, automation, incident response and operational workflows.
• Help customers maximise the value of XSIAM's AI-driven detection, investigation and response capabilities.
• Support the development and optimisation of SOC processes and use cases.
• Provide technical leadership during customer workshops, design sessions and deployment activities.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and act as an escalation point during deployments.
• Work closely with Palo Alto Networks and partner teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Produce technical documentation, deployment plans, configuration standards and operational handover documentation.
• Provide knowledge transfer and technical enablement to customer security teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer security operations through automation, analytics and additional Cortex capabilities.
• Support multiple customer engagements across Spain and EMEA, managing competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of technical delivery.
