Role

Nigel James Associates is exclusively working with one of the largest independent firms of accountants & business advisors to recruit for an experienced Corporate Tax Director.

This is a fantastic role in their Tax team for an individual with significant compliance and advisory experience. You will help manage and develop their corporate tax team and well-established portfolio of OMB/SME and large corporate clients providing a mix of compliance and advisory services.

The opportunity is geographically flexible, but we would specifically welcome applications from those in Bristol, Southampton, or Exeter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Playing a key and leading role in developing and maintaining relationships with our corporate clients.
• Reporting to and assisting the Tax Partners.
• Liaising with the Accounts and Audit Directors/Partners to ensure a comprehensive tax service to clients.
• Managing the Complex Corporate Tax team.
• Providing technical and mentoring support to the junior Tax team members.
• Managing and reviewing complex corporate tax returns.
• Being the point of contact for HMRC, including the CCM where relevant and supporting clients with handling HMRC investigations.

Requirements:

To be considered for the role you must have significant experience of tax with a focus on large corporate tax compliance. CTA qualified, ACA or ACCA would be an advantage.
