Job summary

Pro-Tax in Southampton is seeking a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager to lead advisory engagements for a varied client portfolio, including owner-managed and corporate entities. You will work closely with Partners to deliver end-to-end tax strategies and ensure high-quality delivery.

You will manage client relationships, oversee project delivery, budgets and billing, and mentor junior staff, while identifying advisory opportunities and contributing to practice development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact alongside the Partner/Senior Manager.
• Lead and support corporate tax advisory projects, including structuring, planning, and HMRC interactions.
• Take ownership of project delivery, budgets, billing, and cash collection.
• Review work prepared by junior team members and provide technical guidance.
• Liaise with HMRC on technical and advisory matters.
• Identify advisory opportunities and communicate technical issues, risks, and growth opportunities to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure work is delivered in line with firm quality and risk management standards.
