Job summary

Clear Legal & Financial Recruitment is seeking a corporate solicitor to join a growing corporate team in Stafford. You will manage your own matters, advise on a varied portfolio including mergers and acquisitions, and develop strong client relationships.

The role offers career progression and the chance to contribute to business development as the team grows, with applications welcomed from lawyers at 1+ years' PQE through to Senior Associate and Legal Director level.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year's post-qualification experience in corporate law.
• Experience advising on mergers and acquisitions, business sales and purchases.
• Ability to manage own matters and progress transactions effectively.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and client relationship-building abilities.
• Commercial awareness with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with colleagues.
• Interest in networking and business development.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on a broad range of corporate matters.
• Managing transactions involving mergers and acquisitions.
• Handling business sales and purchases from instruction through to completion.
• Advising on company formations, restructures and corporate reorganisations.
• Drafting and negotiating shareholder agreements and other corporate documentation.
• Providing advice on corporate governance and general company law matters.
• Conducting transactions efficiently while maintaining high standards of client service.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across other practice areas to deliver joined-up advice.
• Contributing to networking, marketing and business-development initiatives.
• Supporting junior colleagues and contributing to team development where appropriate to seniority.
