Corporate Solicitor: 8+ years PQE (partner track available)

We are an experienced and commercially minded corporate team based in Reading. Our team of 18, established in 1987, is led by partner Rachael Maunder since 2017. We seek a senior lawyer to join our growing team.

Our clients include owner-managed businesses and large corporates, with a reputation for pragmatic, commercial advice. Our core work involves M&A transactions and restructuring, typically valued between £3 million and £30 million, with support from senior team members for larger deals.

The team’s work is largely generated through existing relationships and referrals, supported by a broad network of professional contacts.

Specialisms within the team include:

• Private equity and venture capital: Advising on investments, management transactions, and related legal matters.
• Banking: Advising lenders and borrowers on property acquisitions, corporate acquisitions, MBOs, MBIs, and reorganisations.
• Corporate restructuring and insolvency: Providing advice on insolvency, refinancing, and restructuring, working with insolvency practitioners and other stakeholders.
• Company secretarial and corporate governance: Handling shareholder agreements, articles of association, share buy-backs, capital reductions, and general governance issues.
