Job summary

Forbes Solicitors LLP is recruiting a qualified Corporate Solicitor to join their team at the Gordon House Office in Bamber Bridge, Lancashire. This is a full-time, mid-senior level role requiring 2-5 years PQE in corporate law with experience in M&A, demergers, buybacks, and shareholders' agreements.

You will manage an independent caseload, provide strategic legal advice, and help drive business development while collaborating with senior staff on complex matters.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX.
• 2 to 5 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
• Previous experience working within a Corporate department.
• Experience handling corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, demergers, company buybacks, and shareholders' agreements.
• Proven ability to manage an independent caseload and meet fee generation targets.
• Compliance with SRA Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of corporate matters (M&A, demergers, buybacks).
• Provide expert legal advice and strategic guidance to clients.
• Complete legal documentation accurately within area of expertise.
• Analyze legal risks and determine case strategies.
• Negotiate, mediate, or litigate to achieve optimal client outcomes.
• Collaborate with Senior Associates and Partners on complex cases.
• Build client relationships and contribute to business development.
