Job summary

Blake Morgan LLP is seeking a Corporate Solicitor in Cardiff at NQ-2 PQE. The role involves working on a broad range of corporate transactions, from M&A to private equity, with direct client exposure from the outset and guidance from senior fee earners.

You will work with corporate colleagues in London, Thames Valley and Southampton, in a flexible hybrid model with three days in the office per week. A strong academic record and proactive, collaborative approach are expected.

Qualifications

• You should have relevant Corporate law experience gained with a recognised regional or London commercial firm. If an NQ candidate, experience gained during at least one Corporate seat.

Responsibilities

• Work on a broad range of corporate matters including M&A, private equity, venture capital, general advisory matters, joint ventures and restructurings.
• Assist with management and delivery of transactions from instruction through to completion.
• Liaise with clients, advisers and third parties to ensure transactions progress efficiently.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and help strengthen client relationships.

Based from our offices at One Central Square, you'll become an intrinsic part of our friendly and highly respected team – working in partnership with your Corporate colleagues in London, Thames Valley and Southampton. We operate flexible working practices which typically involve 3 days per week in the office according to business need.

Typical Workload

The position offers the opportunity to work on a broad variety of matters and to work directly with clients from the outset under the guidance of senior fee earners. You will have experience of, and typically be involved in the following:

• Private company M&A (including cross-border transactions)
• Private equity and venture capital
• General corporate advisory matters
• Joint Ventures
• Group restructurings

Working closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers, you will assist with the management and delivery of corporate transactions from instruction through to completion.
