Job summary

TiPJAR seeks a Corporate Risk & Compliance Manager to build and lead our corporate risk and compliance function as we scale. Reporting line: General Counsel. Location: Hybrid/London (near Liverpool St).

You will own the risk and compliance program, design governance for vendors, manage privacy compliance with a DPO partner, and report to governance forums with a focus on embedding a strong risk culture across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in risk and compliance within a scaling fintech environment.
• Strong understanding of the regulatory FS perimeter and applicable regimes.
• Knowledge of payments regulatory frameworks and what applies to fintechs.
• Experience with vendor and third-party risk management.

Responsibilities

• Act as the second line lead for corporate risk and compliance.
• Own the compliance intake and risk triage process.
• Maintain the operational risk register with clear RACI allocations.
• Manage issue tracking and escalation workflows.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Corporate Risk & Compliance Manager to build and lead TiPJAR’s corporate risk and compliance function as we scale into a more structured, enterprise-ready operating model.
Reporting line: General Counsel.

Location: Hybrid/London (near Liverpool St).

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• Be the second line lead for corporate risk and compliance
• Own compliance intake and risk triage process
• Maintain operational risk register with clear RACI allocations
• Run issue management and escalation process
• Design and manage vendor onboarding and governance
• Ensure compliance contract review processes are followed
• Be the main point of contact for vendor logs, including renewals and notices via Juro
• Support day to day implementation of the data privacy compliance model (with outsourced DPO)
• Produce structured reporting for governance forums
• Embed risk culture across the organization, including delivering fun and creative training
• Engaging with senior stakeholders and management, including Board

WHAT YOU BRING

• Deep experience in risk/compliance in a scaling fintech environment
• Strong understanding of the regulatory FS perimeter
• Sufficient payments and FS regulatory knowledge to ensure TiPJAR understands what does and does not apply to it
• Vendor and third-party risk experience
• Strong working knowledge of GDPR
• Strong stakeholder management and communication
• Prior experience engaging with regulators would be a plus
