A bit about the job:

This role exists to lead and manage a team of underwriters, driving profitable growth and delivering excellent service while ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards. You’ll be joining Aviva’s Corporate Property team, which handles complex and high-value commercial property risks. The team is responsible for underwriting new and renewal business, managing broker and customer relationships, and ensuring a smooth end-to-end policy journey. As the Corporate Property Manager, you’ll oversee team performance, support development, manage budgets and plans, and handle complex technical referrals to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• A high level of experience in the London Property Insurance, including underwriting, risk assessment, pricing, coverage and setting of terms

• Good customer service and complaint handling skills including communication and negotiation skills

• Understanding of Aviva’s ‘Global Corporate & Speciality’ products offered and an understanding of the regulatory aspects of writing commercial insurance

• Good knowledge of the market, its issues and dynamics, including reinsurance

• ACII qualification or progression towards preferable
