Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior IT Engineer to own and scale our core enterprise SaaS platforms and automation stack. You’ll manage Google Workspace, Slack, and Okta, and build integrations via Python and Terraform to streamline onboarding/offboarding for a global workforce.

You will drive identity and access management, architect SSO and SCIM provisioning, and contribute AI-assisted workflows to accelerate IT operations while ensuring security governance and reliable user experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on IT engineering or systems administration in a high-growth technology environment.
• Deep expertise managing and scaling identity providers like Okta and enterprise SaaS platforms including Google Workspace, Slack, and Microsoft 365.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, with a track record of building custom integrations and automations.
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI and LLM tools (such as WRITER, Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot) to accelerate IT documentation, scripting, troubleshooting, and operations.
• Proven ability to evaluate emerging platforms quickly and make sharp build-vs-buy recommendations balancing speed with long-term scalability.
• Exceptional communication skills — able to translate complex technical concepts for engineers to executives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex identity, MDM, and authentication challenges, partnering with Security for compliance and governance.
• Lead IT infrastructure projects end-to-end — from scoping and architecture through production — with a focus on reliability and user experience.

• Build robust automations and API integrations using Python and Terraform to eliminate manual IT processes and engineer zero-touch onboarding and offboarding for our global workforce

Requirements
