Job summary

Founders Law is seeking a Legal Director to head Corporate and Fundraising. This senior role combines practising at a high level with team leadership, owning client relationships and driving profitability across the Corporate practice.

You will manage a talented team, nurture key accounts, contribute to business development, and oversee end-to-end deal delivery for tech and growth clients across the UK. Hybrid work and a vibrant office culture are offered.

Qualifications

• 8+ years PQE as a qualified lawyer.
• Strong corporate generalist with substantial M&A experience.
• Experience advising on equity fundraisings and venture rounds.
• Demonstrated end-to-end deal execution with minimal supervision.
• Experience with tech companies and venture-backed clients.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation across SPAs and shareholder agreements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Corporate lawyers with accountability for performance and culture.
• Own and grow a portfolio of client relationships as primary adviser.
• Take commercial ownership of team finances: billing, utilisation, contribution margin.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and development of lawyers in the team.
• Act as escalation point for complex matters and lead business development efforts.
• Model the firm’s values and drive profitability alongside client service.
