Job summary

LJ Recruitment has a vacancy for an experienced Corporate & CRE Underwriter based in West London. You will assess, underwrite and manage lending proposals across Corporate, CRE, Buy-to-Let and personal lending within the Credit team.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will ensure lending decisions are robust, compliant with regulatory requirements and aligned with credit policies, while supporting portfolio growth in a fully office-based environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in underwriting or credit assessment.
• Experience underwriting Corporate and/or CRE lending.
• Strong knowledge of the UK lending environment and regulatory framework.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Corporate, CRE, BTL and personal loan proposals.
• Present recommendations to the Sanctioning Committee.
• Monitor portfolio for early arrears and risk; make recommendations.
• Lead annual reviews of the existing credit portfolio.
• Liaise with solicitors, valuation firms and advisers to drive end-to-end credit process.
• Ensure decisions comply with TCF and Customer First standards.
