Job summary

Yorkshire Pie Company is assisting a highly regarded Northern law firm seeking a Corporate Associate or Senior Associate to join its Leeds or Newcastle office. You will handle a broad range of corporate transactions and advisory work, including M&A, restructures, shareholder agreements, joint ventures and governance matters.

You will work with partners on complex matters while independently managing matters and developing client relationships.

Your new role

You will join an established Corporate team advising on a broad range of corporate transactions and advisory matters, including:

• Mergers and acquisitions


• Management buyouts and buy-ins


• Corporate restructures


• Shareholder agreements and corporate governance matters


• Joint ventures and investment transactions


• General company law and commercial advisory work


• You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on complex transactions while also managing your own matters and developing strong client relationships.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified solicitor with between 3 and 8 years' PQE gained within a recognised corporate team


• Experience advising on M&A transactions and general corporate matters


• Strong technical skills and commercial awareness


• Ability to manage client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives


• Excellent communication and organisational skills


• A proactive and collaborative approach
