Job summary

Barnsley Council is offering a Corporate Apprentice - Software Development and Testing role within the Technology and Innovation Services. The apprenticeship provides hands-on training with experienced developers and the chance to contribute to digital services used across the council.

You will learn to design, build, test and improve solutions, work in agile teams, and gain exposure to Power Platform, Dynamics 365, automation and integration technologies while pursuing a recognised

We're looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Technology and Innovation Services as a Corporate Apprentice - Software Development and Testing. This is an exciting opportunity to learn from experienced developers while helping to build and enhance digital services used across the organisation.

You will start by learning how digital solutions are designed, built, tested and improved, before gradually supporting low-code development, automation, testing and documentation activities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Confidence using computers and standard Microsoft Office applications.
