Job summary

Cavendish Maine is seeking a Corporate Account Handler to work closely with Account Directors on complex, often international, corporate insurance programmes. You’ll manage a diverse portfolio of corporate clients with turnovers from £50m to £500m, across sectors such as manufacturing, engineering, and life sciences, delivering tailored risk solutions.

You will handle renewals and servicing, build strong client relationships, and contribute to strategic placements.

Qualifications

• Commercial insurance broking experience in a corporate environment.
• Experience managing multiple clients, not just a few large accounts.
• Exposure to clients in the £50m–£500m turnover range.
• Strong cross-class knowledge across property, liability, motor, cyber and financial lines.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and Account Directors.
• Acturis experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a key day-to-day contact, building strong client relationships.

• Identifying gaps in cover and supporting cross-sell and upsell opportunities.

Most Account Handler roles talk about servicing clients.

This one is about understanding them.

Understanding how businesses operate, where they’re exposed, and how insurance becomes a tool for growth, not just protection.

We’re looking for a Corporate Account Handler who wants to be close to clients, working alongside experienced Account Directors on complex, often international programmes, and playing a real role in how those clients are advised.

This is for someone building a long-term career in client service at the corporate end of the market.

The Role

You’ll manage a portfolio of corporate clients, typically £50m to £500m turnover, across a broad mix of sectors including manufacturing, engineering, food and drink, retail, technology and life science.

This is a varied portfolio role, handling around 15 to 30 clients of differing size and complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing cross-class risks including property, liability, motor, fleet, cyber and professional indemnity.
• Acting as a key day-to-day contact, building strong client relationships.
• Working closely with Account Directors on complex placements and programme design.
