Bell & Co Professional Recruitment Ltd represents a growing independent insurance broker in Leeds, seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler / Client Adviser to join their team. You'll support servicing and retention of a portfolio of corporate clients and work closely with Account Executives.

The role covers renewals, MTAs, broking documentation, market negotiations, and providing technical insurance advice across Property, Liability, Motor Fleet and other covers.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial insurance broking.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance products.
• Experience handling renewals and MTAs.
• Comfort negotiating with insurers.
• Understanding FCA requirements and regulatory standards.
• Excellent communication and client-handling skills.

Corporate Account Handler / Client Adviser

Leeds £42,000 - £48,000 Hybrid Working

We are assisting a growing independent insurance broker in Leeds as they look to add an experienced Commercial Account Handler / Client Adviser to their team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious and well-backed business that continues to invest in its people and regional presence. You'll become part of an established Leeds team, working closely with experienced Account Executives and supporting the servicing and retention of a portfolio of corporate clients.

The role will provide exposure to a broad range of businesses, industry sectors and complex commercial insurance programmes, with client premiums typically starting around £30,000 and extending beyond £500,000.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Account Executives to provide a high level of day-to-day service and support to corporate clients
• Manage renewals, mid-term adjustments and other aspects of the client insurance programme
• Prepare market presentations and relevant broking documentation
• Liaise and negotiate with a broad range of composite and specialist insurers and MGAs
• Provide technical insurance advice and apply appropriate policy wordings, extensions and limitations
• Build strong relationships with clients, insurers and internal broking, claims and risk management teams
• Accompany Account Executives to client meetings where appropriate, helping to develop stronger client relationships
• Maintain accurate client records, documentation and invoicing
• Identify additional opportunities to support clients through other products and services
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with FCA requirements and internal compliance standards
• Handle a broad range of commercial insurance products including Property, Liability, Motor Fleet, Professional Indemnity, Management Liability, Cyber, Contract Works and other specialist covers

About You:

We are looking for an experienced commercial insurance professional who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience within commercial insurance broking
• Strong technical knowledge across a range of commercial insurance products
• Experience handling renewals, MTAs and the wider end-to-end broking process
• Confidence dealing and negotiating with insurers
• A good understanding of FCA requirements and regulatory standards
• Excellent communication, organisation and client-handling skills
• Experience using Acturis would be advantageous
• Cert CII qualification or currently working towards this would be preferred
• Enjoys building relationships, working collaboratively and providing a high standard of service to clients
