Job summary

Cavendish Maine is seeking a Corporate Account Handler to work with experienced Account Directors on complex, often international, insurance programmes. You will manage a portfolio of corporate clients, typically £50m to £500m turnover, across sectors such as manufacturing, engineering, and life sciences, handling 15–30 clients with varying complexity.

You’ll contribute to renewals, market submissions and client reviews, building strong relationships and identifying cross-sell opportunities

Qualifications

• Commercial insurance broking experience, ideally within a corporate environment.
• Experience managing multiple clients, not just a small number of large accounts.
• Exposure to clients in the £50m to £500m range.
• Strong cross-class knowledge across property, liability, motor and financial lines.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and Account Directors.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
• Acturis experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a key day-to-day contact, building strong client relationships.
• Working closely with Account Directors on complex placements and programme design.

• Identifying gaps in cover and supporting cross-sell and upsell opportunities.

This one is about understanding them.

Understanding how businesses operate, where they’re exposed, and how insurance becomes a tool for growth, not just protection.

We’re looking for a Corporate Account Handler who wants to be close to clients, working alongside experienced Account Directors on complex, often international programmes, and playing a real role in how those clients are advised.

This is for someone building a long-term career in client service at the corporate end of the market.

The Role

You’ll manage a portfolio of corporate clients, typically £50m to £500m turnover, across a broad mix of sectors including manufacturing, engineering, food and drink, retail, technology and life science.

This is a varied portfolio role, handling around 15 to 30 clients of differing size and complexity.
